The old time classic games such pacman and Tetris are great to play and have fun in the flash version.

I'm searching Internet very often while I'm trying to find more quality flash games that have interest. Sudoku is one of my favorites. Also the chinese checkers and Mahjongg are very addictive and you can play for many hours.

What makes the best really free online games site?

When I'm looking for a free online game to play, these are the most important features which I look out for in a free games site:

Free should mean free - if it's play for free until you get addicted, then you have to pay a fee to progress to higher levels, then no thanks, I'm not interested.
No signups - I don't want to have to sign up for your 'free' newsletter and I don't want to have to log in to play a straightforward game.
No annoying adverts - this speaks for itself really. I don't mind unobtrusive ads (heck, we've all got to make a living, and the site is providing a free service after all). But I don't want to see garish, flickering distractions or lots of popups - I need all my concentration to play the game.
No toolbars to install - optional toolbars are OK, but I don't want to have to install any to play.
Good choice of games - the best free online games sites will have a variety of different games to suit all interests.

I like to be able to visit a site, find an interesting game and get on with it straight away, without having to register or download anything. When I find a game that I really enjoy and want to go back to, I don't mind registering so that my scores can be saved, but it has to be my choice.

I love to play word games. A poetry professor once told us that all writers should play word games, like crossword puzzles, because it keeps your mind active. In fact, among the elderly, playing words games is supposed to help ward off dementia and Alzheimer’s because it keeps certain areas of your brain active. Word games will keep your mind sharp, and help you expand your vocabulary. If word games aren’t quite your thing, try Sudoku, which is similar to a word game puzzle, but with numbers.

When I have free time, I can get wrapped up in word games—they are pretty addictive. I enjoy playing group games, solving word games in newspapers, and take advantage of the many free games online. Out of all of the games out there, here are a few of the best:

Boggle

Boggle is played with 16 lettered dice that are shaken up and arranged inside of a tray. You have a set amount of time to find as many words in the combination of letters as you can, but the letters have to be touching each other to make the word.

The point of the game is to find as many words as you can, but hope that nobody else finds the same words. The longer the words are, the more points they are worth. I actually have a hard time finding anyone to play this game with me anymore because I get really into it; and, I won’t be modest here, I kick butt at this game.

Bookworm

This is a fun game you can play online. Yahoo! Games offers a free version of the game. The game provides a jumble of letters that you have to link together to make words within a time limit. You earn points whenever you make words, and the longer ones are worth more. Making words with the green and gold tiles give you bonus points. As you play, you start getting red tiles—which move down as time goes on. If the red tiles reach the bottom, your book burns and the game is over.

Balderdash

This board game is a ridiculously good time. The dasher is the person whose turn it is. The dasher pulls a card, and reads the word aloud to everyone (spelling it too). The other players make up definitions of the word, writing them down (you get bonus points if you provide the correct definition), giving the “definitions” to the dasher. The dasher then reads all of the definitions aloud, including the real one provided on the card, in no particular order. Everyone takes turn choosing the right definition. Points are awarded to the players who choose the correct definitions, and also to players whose fake definitions are chosen as the real ones.

These words are all pretty crazy, so it is funny to hear the different definitions people come up with.

Text Twist

I think this is the most addictive game online. Once I start playing, I have a hard time stopping. To play this game, you have to make words out of the letters you are given within a set time limit. Words can be as short as three letters long, and I bet you will discover words you never even knew were words.

Once you discover all of the word possibilities, you move on to the next level. If you don’t identify all of the words within the time limit, your game is over. If you are stumped before the time runs out, you can rearrange, or twist, the letters. You would be amazed at what a fresh view of the letters will do for you.

It's speculated that crossword puzzles evolved from the ancient Roman word blocks - rows and columns of equal length each spelling a word. The first crossword puzzle, as we would recognize today, was published in the World newspaper in the early 1900s. Today, you would be hard pressed to find a newspaper that did not publish at least a weekly crossword puzzle. There are thousands of crossword puzzle books available for purchase, all in varying degrees of difficulty. Crossword puzzles can also be found online - and while some charge a subscriber fee you can find many for free.

There are a few different types of crossword puzzles. They can vary by the type of grid (or can even be grid-less) and the type of clues. A straight crossword contains clues with answers that are straightforward - usually the definition of the word itself - and are enjoyed by those with a love of words and vocabulary. A cryptic crossword is more like a puzzle than a test of word knowledge. The answers are not always so straightforward and can be interpreted a few different ways. The most commonly published crosswords are a combination of straight and cryptic.

Assistance for crossword puzzle clues can be found in print or online. There are many free websites that allow you to enter the clue, the number of letters in the answer as well as any letters you've already figured out. Most of them involve creating piles of cards with the ultimate goal of ending up with four piles by suit. Klondike - This is by far the most common solitaire game. It involves setting up the board with 7 piles of cards, each pile with one more card than the previous pile. The top card in each pile is face up, the others are face down. The remaining 24 cards are used in the stock pile. Pyramid - This is an equally common version of solitaire in which the board is set up with a pyramid of cards, face up (see photo to right). Cards are removed from the board by one or two cards totalling 13. The card values are King 13 down to Ace 1. The only cards that can be removed are ones that are not covered by other cards. I have raised and homeschooled three kids. All but one has graduated high school and are in college. We homeschooled through blizzards, floods, and extreme temperatures. We didn't have a lot of money to spend on entertainment, but the kids were at home, a LOT, so a parent finds ways to keep kids busy, entertained, and happy while they try to catch up on chores or just want some quiet.

The Top X-Box 360 Games

The X-Box 360 has a few really great games. Games that are not only fun, but quite addicting, and if you have X-Box Live, they are even more fun! That being said, I really only have 4 favorites. In my eyes, if a game is easily put down, not addicting, and boring; it does not qualify as a great game.

My top four 360 games are as follows:

Call of Duty 4- Great graphics, a lot of different maps to play, and the game is really addicting. There are always a ton of people to play online, and many different things that you can unlock in the game.

Halo 3 - Everyone has heard about this one by now. Great maps, great play, the game is not impossible to beat, but then you can play it again in a tougher mode. Online play is a blast on this one as well.

Beautiful Katamari-This one I was skeptical on, but boy is it addicting. It is really fun for those who like puzzle games. Unlike the first two Katamari games, this one is not easy to beat. Definitely takes time to finish the game. Addicting, and easy to get lost in it.

Guitar Hero 3 - Yea its fun, I'll admit it. It is definitely one of the most addicting games. That being said, its quite pricey and that deters alot of us.

I don't think there's anyone in the world who has not held a Rubik's cube in there hand and have been amazed an confused at this ingenious game which has confused and baffled me and many people for years trying to complete this clever little game.. The only way we could complete this was to take the stickers off or take all the pieces apart and rearrange them which would still amaze friends , (providing they never saw you)... Rubik's Cube is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Erno Rubik. Game Review

I played this game yesterday as a rental game. I have always liked the Harvest Moon series and puzzle games, so it seemed appropriate to try this. I found it kind of fun to play, but it is kind of confusing to figure out. The tutorial does a decent job of explaining the game. Basically you plant seeds, water them, and fertilize them before harvesting them. You win by harvesting the most. At first it seems that you can only harvest the crops you plant, but I realized that you can harvest others if you just move your stylus back and forth on the screen. I found that in the end it was easiest to win (pretty much the only way) against the computer players if you just spend most of the time harvesting the plants that they planted. This can get kind of boring though.
